WILDLIFE
FIRST CAMPAIGNS
Public Opinion
And Outreach
Media workshops
Since 1995, Wildlife First has conducted
four workshops for journalists from both print and visual media.
Media professionals have been exposed to conservation problems
in the field to enable them to understand the complex issues involved
in conservation of wildlife reserves. This has greatly helped
in better appreciation of the problems by the media resulting
in higher quality of reportage and support for wildlife conservation
and in building favorable public opinion.
Educating the decision makers
An important segment of people who are
being educated about the need for wildlife conservation are politicians
and decision makers. Wildlife
First has been actively involved in organizing field visits for
politicians and important bureaucrats to draw their attention
to the problems faced by our wildlife and help evolve better policy.
