WILDLIFE
FIRST CAMPAIGNS
In
pursuit of its avowed goal of saving wildlife reserves which constitute
a mere three per cent of India’s landscape, Wildlife First along
with other conservation partners maintain a continuous field presence
in some important reserves in Karnataka state. The “watchdog activities”
include monitoring illegal and other developmental activities
detrimental to wildlife and wildlife habitats.
Wildlife
First has constructively collaborated with the forest department
in order to strengthen the protective mechanisms by donating critically
needed equipment, training and intelligence sharing.
Our cherished goal being conservation of
wildlife, our campaigns have been devised and executed to facilitate
on-ground change for better protection and conservation. We have
notched up noteworthy successes and the following, in a nutshell,
